1. The Artist Principles
What drives my art and creation?
What are it’s foundational Principles?
Why do I share what I know?
These are some questions I’m asking myself as I ‘reinvent’ who I am as an artist and what I do.
Why do this?
– I often get lost as a Creator. And especially when it’s also a business – You tend to loose the creative aspects that made You, and you start thinking in formats and systems (which is what business Is all about)
As I dive into what I’m doing and why I’m doing it,
I’d like to establish some Principles that drive what I do and define my – “Life’s work”
The Principles
• Create the art you want to see in this world and build the products you want to use in this world – Scratch your own itch.
• Always Be Honest – with what you share – and the art you make – never pander, never surrender, never give up – Fight. Like. Hell.
• Build things that last > Following trends that go. Capture the moment of time through your art.
• Don’t Explain and infuse your personal beliefs (especially politics) into your art. Rather explore why you hold such beliefs in the first place. Explore > Explain
• Your Art IS God. In it, lies the truth you are seeking.
• Make. Learn. Share. Repeat.
• Be consistent – enough to improve well. Balance quality and quantity to be consistent.
• Be selfish to be selfless – Make stuff for yourself. True to yourself. Enjoy your work – so others will see what you saw in it. That’s where the value is for others.
• AIM BIG. Think BIG – ask and you shall receive.
*Note – these are not the 10 Commandments – these are not set in stone. I will update them as I make and learn over the years.
2. How to Work Like an Artist?
I manage a small team of 4 people in my business and I have been managing people for 5 years now.
Over time, I’ve developed a set of principles on how to work like an artist in a Creator run business.
We go over this every 6 weeks in Our team meetings.
Here are they

3. Favourite Quote of the Week
“To be successful at anything, you don’t have to be special. You just have to be something that most people aren’t – Consistent”
– Tom Brady
That’s it for this week folks.
See you in the next one
