How to Waste your life?

I’ve wasted a year of my life doing nothing (from early 2022 – early 2023).

So here’s my

1. Guide to Wasting your Life

1. Don’t have goals and wing it. It’s key. 🔑
2. Always spend time thinking, do nothing.
3. Think small, Act Big.
4. Don’t Aim Big. Think incrementally. 🔎
5. Say no to useful Daily routines and Schedules.
6. Always be afraid to Fail. Else you might succeed.
7. Put yourself down the moment you face the first hurdle. 😞
8. Define what a “bad day” is. Have more bad days. Bad days = bad weeks = bad months = bad years = bad life.

So here’s what I wish I had done. The opposite. 👇

2. How to NOT Waste your Life

1. Have Big goals and make progress. 😮
2. Think little, test more, act fast.
3. Think Big, Act small.
4. Think exponentially and Aim Big.🧠
5. Have useful Daily routines and habits.
6. Take bold decisions. And act fast.
7. Get used to hurdles and failures. Flinch when you fall for the 1000th time. 🏃
8. Define what a “good day” is. Have more good days.

How to apply this to your craft / art?

Leverage is KING in life. Pick Art Projects that accrues in value over time.
Test instead of thinking. 2 week experiments and 100 Day Projects are best.
Avoid Short term Art.
– Have clear 6-12 week goals and make daily progress.
Zoom out into the future – ask what would a productive year of art be like.
Create a List – Choose the the TOP project and discard the list.
– Collect Good Art projects each year (that you make)

3. Favourite Quote of Week

“The size of your success is determined by the size of your belief.

Think little goals and expect little achievements.
Think Big Goals and Win Big Success”.

– Dr. David Shwartz

That’s it for this week folks.
See you in the next one 🙂

Best,
Kesh.
