1. The Yearly Review
Before we even set goals, it’s important to review the past.
“Those who fail to study history are often doomed to repeat it” – Some wise guy.
Here’s how I review the Last year.
• I look at and list all the things that has happened.
• This includes Projects, activities and experiencesI have gone through.
• Then I take up last year’s goals and then compare and contrast what worked and what didn’t.

And here’s the most important step I do as part of this process. I create a +PLUS And a -MINUS List. 🤔
• I take all the good thing that contributed to more happiness in my life and put in the +PLUS List.
• I take all the not so good “Unfun” things that contributed to more unhappiness in the -MINUS List.
The goal now is to do More of the PLUS and Eliminate most or all of the MINUS. 🏆
Then I would Create 3-5 things/lessons that I would like to implement moving forward.
You need an ACTIONABLE (and simple) solution list by the end of this review.

2. GOAL SETTING - How I Set Goals?
Here’s my Simple (or not so simple) process for setting goals.
1. Create a VISION for 5-10 years down the road. ⏳
• Define how you want your life to be in different categories (Health, Wealth, Relationships, Work, Spiritual etc).
• Be WILD and unrealistic.
• Your vision can be flexible and you can update it from time to time.
• This is to define your IDEAL FUTURE that would help create your personal compass.

2. Fast Forward to the END of 1 Year and define the things you HAVE achieved in the each categories you have.
• Write in present tense – ex – “I have created my first Comic book” “I have lost 20lbs and have gone to the gym 3 times a week” etc.
• This is to properly define the EXACT definition of a productive year.
• Be a tad more realistic here than your vision. But make it (as Andrew Huberman would put it) “Moderately Lofty”
3. Power of 3-5 MIG (most important goals) and put the rest on back burner.
• This is to create FOCUS (Chase two rabbits, catch neither one)
• Re-organize them in Order of priority/importance.

4. Think BOULDERS > ROCKS > PEBBLES.
• Pick 1-2 Goals per quarter (These are your quarterly “BOULDERS”)
• Define a Plan to achieve it.
• Create a Monthly Target (These are your Monthly “ROCKS”)
• Create a VERY REALISTIC Weekly Target (These are your weekly “PEBBLES”)
That’s all folks!
3. Favourite Quote of the Week
“If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.”
– Albert Einstein
That’s it for this week folks.
See you in the next one 🙂
Best,
Kesh.
