Reinventing my Art

1. How to Reinvent your Art?

And yourself as an Artist. đŸ€”

Here’s my take (and I’m actively doing this)

đŸ‘ïž Create/ Recreate an Artistic vision for your work. Define what does it look like in 3-5 years and what would make you happy.

❌ Stop doing things the old way – the old way doesn’t work. Kill the old habits, routines and thinking. Start fresh.

🏃 Incorporate new habits/routines that changes the old ways of thinking – like new creative routines, projects and activities.

✍ Learn something new and experiment with new mediums, projects and “styles” of making art.

🧠 Become a learner and welcome change. Fear stops growth and creates stagnation in your art. Invite change.

đŸžïž Change your Environment and design it to match your new vision and its activities.

📕 Do a 10 Day Project, challenge to test new waters.

👣 Stay on the path and work really hard at this till something “speaks back to you” – Then ‘Passion’ is created.

2. Don't be "That" Artist

I often see many artists (including myself) who’s style and work never changes over the years. đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«

I personally feel that stagnation is caused due to lack of learning. (Also sometimes due to their focus on projects over art techniques/style)

There’s nothing right or wrong about this.

I just don’t want to be that guy though. đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž
An artist who is stuck in a “format”.

One of the things I’ve learned about art – it’s NOT a Format.

It’s an Evolution. 🧠

The way you evolve is simple – learn, learn and learn,

Become better.

(And that’s my personal take)

3. Favourite Quote of the Week

“Sometimes when you are in a dark place, you think you’ve been buried. But actually, you’ve been planted”

– Anon

That’s it for this week folks!
See you in the next one 🙂

Best,
