1) How PRO Artists (can) train?
Pro artists can take a lot of inspiration from PRO Athletes. 🏃♂️
PRO athletes have;
– Focused competitions they are training towards.
– They work in seasons (On season, Off season)
– They have daily and weekly training plans to improve their skill (whether on season or off season)
– They have a coach to guide them.
What can the Artist learn from this to be PRO?
– Work towards a Project (this is your game or competition)
– Work differently when you are working on a project (on season) vs not (off season) – have routines and things lined up so you don’t loose skill.
– Have daily and weekly structured learning sessions to improve your skills (warm ups, fundamentals, observation studies, mini projects)
– Get a mentor to give you objective feedback and hold you accountable.
These are some things one can pick up to improve their skills whilst working on projects that fulfills their soul. 😌
2) You don't need a Project. You need a Product?
What do you do when you feel lost and stuck?
Start a project?
No. You create a product. ⭐
Project is something you do and finish.
Product is something you make, Finish and Ship.
That’s a whole new level.
Here’s a fantastic video from Jake Parker that talks about this concept 👇
3) Favourite Quote of the Week
“Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?”
– Lord Toranaga (a character in Netflix – Shogun)
That’s it.
I’ll see you again next week 🙂
Best,
Kesh.
