1. 100 Days of Sketching
So, I’ve been drawing daily for the past 2 weeks or so as part of my yearly “Ritual” – ‘100 days of Sketching’.
I’ve been doing this for 5 years or so now and I approached things a little different this time.
I gave myself some rules to make it fit within my busy life, so that I can have a Sketching Habit and of course…..Live my Life. 🤷♂️
Here are those rules:
📕 Sketch only on the sketchbook.
⌛ It’s ok to not sketch more than 6 mins a day (i.e just draw a little each day)
😌 Allow yourself to make Bad Art.
✍️ Sketch and Draw to explore rather than to post.
🚫 Don’t compare your art with others (who are putting much more time into their drawings)
As a result – I’ve been having fun with the challenge without much stress.
Key takeaway:
– Sketch a little each day, for yourself and explore the inner world of yours, without much care for the external.
2. Cartooning People
I went on a little side track and drew some ‘cartoons‘ of people and I really liked how they turned out 👇
Lesson – If you wanna make something attractive, make em’ cute. 🥺
3. Favourite Quote of the Week
“There’s no coming to consciousness without pain. No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
– Carl Jung
That’s it for this week folks.
See you in the next one 🙂
Best
Kesh.
