Having an Art Blog

1. On Having a Blog

One of the best decisions I’ve made 4 years ago was to start an online blog and write consistently

– Thus this – newsletter was born. 💌

Why having a Blog as an Artist is a good decision?

🧠 It helps you think better – if you write your thoughts.
📚 It serves as a documentation of your art projects.
📱 It’s easy for others to find you and put a finger on you.
👥 It helps form a relationship with others who want to follow your Art making process.

Here’s what I tell most random strangers;

• Start a blog even if no one reads it.
• Write for yourself.
• Document your Journey.

And something good will come out of it. 😌

(Like Having 58k readers on your list, like this one)

2. Start Easy

Some Blogging Tips in no particular order 📝

• Make it easy to blog – keep it less than 10 mins a week.
• Be consistent – post every week.
• Write/share what you are interested in instead of what you think others like (recipe for disaster).
• Keep the tech simple – use Wix or Notion.

I btw have a Free Notion Blog Template you can duplicate and use 👇

Try that.

Or setup a simple page on Wix.

And oh – GET A GOOD DOMAIN NAME and start today. It’s key. 🔑

3. Favourite Quote of the Week

“Most people think their views are more fascinating than they actually are”.

– Scott Galloway

That’s it for this week folks.
See you in the next one 🙂

Best
Kesh.
