1) The Need for Rest
After a month full of sketching in my Sketchbook – I took 3 weeks off from work and making art. 😌

Now, I kept up my daily drawing practice of 10mins a day – other than that, I wasn’t doing much.
And I was quite surprised how this helped me gain a little perspective on a lot of things. 😮
One of the main sources of Art is Life itself. And when you haven’t lived or experienced much, it’s hard to make art about anything.
The break helped me gain new ideas, detach a bit from the old and focus on other things.
So – short lesson: Take some time to chill out here and there.
2) A Lesson Re-learned
Here’s a lesson I relearned this week –
Big things are often a result of good actions done consistently over a long period of time like
• Daily drawings done for a year
• Weekly workouts that keeps you fit
• Night time routines that helps you sleep better.
It’s not the monumental actions that makes up for the results – it’s often the mundane ones.
Consistency + good actions = Win
3) Favourite Quote of the Week
“Sometimes you need to get out of the water to see the waves.”
– Anonymous
That’s it.
I’ll see you again next week 🙂
Best,
Kesh.
