1) Consistency is UNDERRATED
Picking the right thing to work on is the single most important factor to get your first WIN. (Think – the right art project)
But WINNING involves working on the same thing – while improving at that thing. 💪
• That means, you won’t be able to do too many things.
• Therefore, you need to pick less things to do.
• Everything that is NOT your thing, then becomes a distraction.
Hence, discarding your ability to be consistent. 😵💫

Story:
I stuck to a very boring workout program for 2 months – I made the most amount of gains in those 2 months than I have made in the past 5 years of “strategy hopping” 🏋️
What I’m (re) Learning – Be a Player, not a gambler. 😌
– A player is one who’s in the game FOR the game.
– A Gambler is one who plays for the win, quits when it’s done.

To be consistent – you gotta be the player.
• Pick the right thing to work on.
• Pick the thing that has range (the more you learn/work, the better the results)
• Work on it Consistently by making it easy to be consistent.
• Lastly, Pick a thing that you can be consistent at to begin with (as opposed to things that you cannot be).
2) The Artist Pitfall
Here’s the Artist Pitfall – “Craving Novelty”.
Aka – wanting to do many things at the same time.
Or craving variety and trying to voluntarily discard boredom.
Well, what’s the issue with this?

– Constant Novelty, means Constant New things.
– New things = New starts (or restarts)
– That means, you can’t be consistent, see things through or Finish.
The better choice: Seek Mastery > Novelty. 💪
Do the thing well vs doing the new thing.
3) Favourite Quote of the Week
“The road to heaven feels like hell,
And the road to hell, feels like heaven”.
– Unknown
That’s it.
I’ll see you again next week 🙂
Best,
Kesh.
