1) What I've learned in 2025
I’ve achieved my New Year’s resolution last year (2025) and failed at whole bunch of other things.
Here’s a list of random lessons I’ve learned as a 31 year old artist 👇
– Everything is hard. The small things and the big ones – so go for BIG.
– You can’t do more than One big thing a year if you actually aim high.
– Saying NO hurts and that’s what it takes to be great.
– Stop thinking about making the right decision and start “dating” the decision to see if it’s the right one.
– Aim for ONE year defining “Misogi” a year – this builds your life resume.
– Build systems – it’s extremely underrated.
– Build 4 Habits a year, one every quarter – in 5 years, you’ll have 20 (and that changes you)
– Work on your Yearly ONE THING – first thing in the morning for 1hr – That alone is 365hrs of deep work (260 if you skip weekends)
– Sequence your projects (one after the other) rather than stacking it (working on it at the same time)
– Have weekly anchor routines – It gives mental stability.
– Calculate the total deep work hours available in a year – and budget that, that’s the actual time you got.
– When things aren’t going well – work more, Honestly. It might solve most of the problem.
– Delay your gratification, your future self will thank you – and if you’ve done it long enough, you’ll enjoy the fruits of your past self.
2) What does this say?
3) Favourite Quote of the Week
“Most people overestimate what they can do in a year, and underestimate what they can do in a decade”
– Some dude
That’s it.
I’ll see you again next week 🙂
Best,
Kesh.
