1) My Comic Page Process
Here’s a quick Breakdown (and Timelapse) of my comic page from the upcoming comic.
– It started with the Super Rough pencils where I try out multiple variations of panel layouts for the page 👇
Then once I like the layout – I do something called the “Finished pencils” – where I lay out all the details I want on the page (I also lock in the text bubbles at this point)
Then comes the inks – aka line work – where you go over the pencils with Ink (I use iPad and procreate)
Then comes the Colors – One of the hardest parts of the process where I experiment A LOT and lock in the base colors.
Now here’s the Full video 👇
2) Creative Thought: You can't do many things, so Do One Thing Well
Creative types often crave Variety: that’s the source of their creativity and a the death trap at the same time. 🤷♂️
We have limited time, therefore limited resource – So you can’t do many things, and can only do one thing.
So question to ask yourself :
What is that ONE THING that makes sacrificing other things worth it?
3) Favourite Quote of the Week
“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself.
– Jim Rohn
That’s it.
I’ll see you again next week 🙂
Best,
Kesh.
